These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FasalVision mobile application ("App") operated by FasalVision ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using our App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FasalVision, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FasalVision provides:

  • AI-powered crop disease detection using photo analysis
  • Live mandi (agricultural market) price information
  • Weather data and farm advisory services
  • AI chatbot for agricultural queries
  • Crop calendar and seasonal farm advice
  • Farm diary for tracking expenses, income, and work
  • Community Q&A platform for farmers
  • Government scheme information

3. Important Disclaimer — AI Advisory

The disease detection and AI advisory features are for informational purposes only. FasalVision is not a substitute for professional agricultural advice from a qualified agronomist or Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) expert.

  • AI diagnosis accuracy may vary depending on photo quality, lighting, and disease stage
  • Always consult a local agricultural expert before making significant decisions on pesticide use or crop management
  • Mandi prices are fetched from government data sources and may have delays — verify with local mandis before selling
  • Weather data is sourced from third-party APIs and may not always be accurate for your exact location

We are not liable for any crop loss, financial loss, or damage resulting from reliance on App-provided information.

4. User Accounts

  • You must provide a valid phone number for OTP authentication
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not share your account with others
  • You must provide accurate information during registration
  • One account per person/farm is recommended

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Post false, misleading, or harmful content in the Community section
  • Upload photos that are obscene, offensive, or unrelated to farming
  • Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the App
  • Use the App to spam other users
  • Impersonate other farmers or agricultural experts
  • Scrape or collect data from the App using automated means
  • Use the App to promote competing services

6. Community Content

  • You retain ownership of content you post (questions, photos, answers)
  • By posting, you grant FasalVision a license to display that content to other users
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms
  • Do not post personal contact information (phone numbers, addresses) publicly
  • Be respectful — harassment of other farmers is not tolerated

7. Intellectual Property

  • The App, its design, logo, and original content are owned by FasalVision
  • You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the App
  • AI-generated responses are for your personal farm use only
  • "FasalVision" name and logo are proprietary

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Notifications

  • You may opt-in to push notifications for price alerts and weather warnings
  • You can disable notifications at any time in App Settings
  • We will not send promotional notifications without your consent

10. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time via Delete Account page
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • FasalVision is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (₹0 for free users)
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. We encourage resolving disputes amicably — contact hello@fasalvision.com first.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
